Distance Education Student Checklist
1 .Request transcripts from your high school and other colleges to be sent to the UNO Admissions Office.
2. Order your textbook.
3. Take a tour of UNO Library. Discover what resources are available to you via distance.
4. Log into myMail (previously known as Lotus Notes) e-mail account. If you have problems, contact the UNO ITS Customer Services.
5. Log into myUNO (previously known as Blackboard) and locate your course. Your UNO NetID and password are the same for myMail and myUNO.
6. Find your instructor's email address and check for any announcements.
7. Spend some time exploring/navigating your course. If you have problems, contact your instructor immediately.
8. Read all directions your instructor gives you for the course. Pay careful attention to all requirements.
9. E-mail your instructor as soon as the semester begins begins.
